Meet Alex, the heart of Gay Flowers, nestled in the historic Battery Point in Hobart. The area, once a key defence point overlooking the Derwent River, is now famous for its Georgian architecture and well-preserved heritage homes. It’s the perfect spot to stroll along cobblestone streets and imagine the lives of early settlers.

Gay Flowers is located in Fusilier Cottage, circa 1838, which still retains its original bluestone and sandstone features.

With over 30 years of floristry experience, Alex has owned Gay Flowers for the past seven. Weddings are her favourite florals to craft, with bereavements close behind.
