The Daubigny’s Garden landscape painting by Vincent Van Gogh (1853 - 1890) was painted in Auvers-sur-Oise, June 1890. Vincent was a lifelong admirer of Charles-Francois Daubigny’s work, a landscape painter that lived in Auvers. When Vincent arrived at Auvers, he visited Daubigny’s home and garden at the first opportunity. After this initial painting, in which the garden was painted on a red and white striped tea towel, he went on to paint two larger ones on Canvas.
Inspired by Daubigny’s Garden, one of Van Gogh’s famous landscape paintings, this lavender indoor plant is tribute to Van Gogh’s admiration of Charles-Francois Daubigny. Presented in an indoor plant basket and decorated with coconut fibre, this lavender plant is a unique gift.
